16th Birthdayart Party

Japanese cartoons

This short post is dedicated to the codes of Japanese cartoons that made their way in the years 70-80 in Italy.

begin by Koseidon ... Years later I realized how this cartoon has influenced my passions at least unconscious:

 • Throughout the period of elementary and junior high then I was a fan of the Dinosaurs;

 • During high school, and the averages have always been fascinated by ethics Knights, also because educated through the Pedagogy of the hero with both St. George said this in several activities scouting

 • time I have always been small affascinato.Da thought I might change the past and the future, when he grew up, I always wanted to travel in time, my age style film favorite is Back to the Future, and last not least as soon as I had the opportunity at the University I took a course in General Relativity ......

now present the output of the knights of the time: great !!!!!!!!

a box that has its own story and the letter of which I could not put in this post is the Legend of Voltron.

 • E' il paladino della Pace nell'Universo(qui si apre un'altra mia passione-le stelle, l'universo, i viaggi interstellari-)e questi universo popolato da altre forme di vita , ma che trovano armonia in una convivenza pacifica;

 • L'idea millenaria Evil against the Good and the fact that every man has his share positive and negative;

 • A woman driving a robot spacecraft: one could speak of empowerment of women, taking into account that in this case is a therefore, a noble princess and gets his hands dirty along with people of lower rank to his ....

 • Assuming that someone believes in "Cogito ergo Sum", the goddess of the legend is just phenomenal.

Finally, you can not miss grafting Daitarn 3: in this cartoon is the predominant idea that the robot and its technology, computers, weapons themselves are essentially a tool, a means and as such will ultimately depend on who uses them .. ... Without thinking that the idea of artificial intelligence is dear to literature age style (Asimov primarily, but not only!)

the importance of knowing how to light a fire

... I would say that knowing how to light a fire and know that food is one of the most important techniques of scouting for an explorer and a guide (in the final for a scout) and I think that is so important that at the beginning of training leaders, after a training camp, was delivered to the Wood Badge (soon I'll make a post explaining what it is), a notebook and a leather lace with a round section that was used for lighting the fire by the method of "bow and drill" technique required of a leader to demonstrate his ability to scout and pride of the school fields at the time. This loop was brought normally in your pocket until the day when a leader was planning to weave a "turkish head" and use it to the now known (one could say that was just the era versions of "Christmas tree" for scarves ).
However the importance of a fire remains. power is essential to its ability to create and use bait. In this case, for bait (a salute to Julius who usually goes there with his baits to fish in the river) means any material that can catch fire very quickly and give life to the fire. bait, natural or otherwise, are the Diavolina, or similar combustible liquids which soak a piece of wood or a piece of cloth, magnesium, dry bark (birch that takes well over time wet), very thin twigs, wood chips (better than conifer resin), dry leaves or straw, dried dung of herbivores, nests abandoned, dried mushrooms, paper, cotton wool, gauze bandages, string (not synthetic) frayed, fibrous or woolly plants, birds' feathers, animal fur, etc..
is usually always good to have with them in a waterproof bag a small amount of bait. A recipe for a lure that you can easily make yourself at home and that is very useful if you have to light a fire with wet wood (but is fine even in situations of non-humidity) is as follows:

 1. Take a sheet of newspaper

 2. bends so as to obtain a strip a couple of inches wide

 3. Coils on the strip itself, and binds with a bit of twine cordino8o)

 4. Take a pot (preferably not the one who will subsequently lead to the outputs or summer camps) and we bring you the mozzicotti candle (easily found at the supermarket or in-house course is best to advise their parents, partners, grandparents, etc., in both cases-)

 5. You put the pot on the stove with the candles inside the house: in a short time the candles wax becomes liquid.

 6. Now take the rolled strip and then immersed in liquid wax.

 7. The strip is removed from the pot and put in the sun waiting for the wax to solidify

 8. The bait is finally ready

 9. finally Remember to clean the jug with hot water and soap (otherwise the wax solidifies again) and put everything in order

Three tips:

 • Take the strip rolled and tied with the sticks or boxcutters or with forks: better not use my hands to take it back, so as to avoid unnecessary burns

 • We do at least a dozen bands before you melt the wax and dip the strips

 • We put the strips at rest (the ones, the wax of which is drying) on two sheets of newspaper to avoid soiling.

Stonings In Bible For What Sins?

Immanuel Kant

I present some songs written by Kant as proof of his genius and his rigorous moral convictions and the Enlightenment.
Good reading

Answer to the Question: What is Enlightenment?

Immanuel Kant

intellect to guide

L ' Enlightenment is man's emergence from a state of minority, which is due to him. Immaturity is the inability to use one's own understanding without the guidance of another. Attributable to themselves Minority If this is the cause of it does not depend on lack of intelligence but a lack of decision and courage to use one's own understanding without guidance from another. Sapere Aude! Have the courage to use your own intelligence - is therefore the motto of enlightenment. Laziness and cowardice are the reasons why such a large part of mankind, after nature has long emancipated them dall'eterodirezione (naturaliter maiorennes), but they remain happy and minors for the entire life so much easier for others to succeed set themselves up as their guardians. It 'so easy to be underage! If I have a book that thinks for me, a spiritual director who has conscience for me, a doctor who decides on the diet for me I agree, and so on., I no longer need to give me thought for me. As long as I am able to pay, I need not think others will take over for me this dull jobs. To ensure that the vast majority of men (and with them the entire fair sex) considers the change to the majority, besides difficult, even dangerous, shall have those guardians who have so kindly assumed the general supervision over them . After being dumbed down at first as if they were pets and carefully prevented these peaceful creatures who dared take a step outside the child's walker in which they were imprisoned at a later time to show them the danger which threatens them if attempted to walk alone. Now this danger is not so great as you believe them, because they fall in the price of some eventually learn to walk, but one example of this kind, however timid and usually makes it distracts people from any further attempt. It is therefore difficult for any single man for him to extricate himself from the minority has become almost second nature. And 'even come to love it, and now is really unable to use his own intellect, without his having never been allowed to test. Rules and formulas, those mechanical instruments for rational use or rather misuse of his natural, are strains of an eternal minority. Even those who they managed to melt, would simply jump over even the most insecure narrow ditches, as it would not be trained to such free movement. So only a few have succeeded, with the education of their own spirit, and to extricate himself from the minority, however, to walk with sure-footed.

The vocation of reason autonomy

instead lights up an audience for itself what is most possible, and indeed, if you leave the freedom, is almost inevitable. In this case it will always, even among the guardians of the great crowd, some free-thinkers who, having shaken off the yoke of self-protection, carry the sense of rational estimate of its value and vocation of every man to think for themselves. There is about the strange phenomenon that the public, which at first was placed by them under that yoke, then it forces them to remain the same, not just to what they have instigated those of its guardians that they were themselves incapable of any light. Sow prejudice is so dangerous, because they end up falling back on their predecessors on the authors or the authors. So the public can reach the enlightenment only slowly. Perhaps a revolution can you determine the freedom from despotism and oppression greedy personal gain and power, but never a true reform of the way of thinking. On the contrary, new prejudices will serve just like the old to put giving the crowd of those who think differently. Except that this enlightenment is not necessary that the more freedom, namely the most harmless of all freedoms, that is, to make public use of one's reason in all fields. But from all I hear shouting: "Do not argue! The officer says: Do not argue but drill! The director of finance: Do not argue, pay! The clergyman: Do not argue but believe! (There is only one man in the world says: Argue as much as you want and everything what you want, but obey!) Here there, everywhere, limitation of freedom. But that limitation is an obstacle to the enlightenment, and what is not, in fact it promotes? I reply: The public use of his right to be free at all times, and it alone can bring about the enlightenment among men, whereas the private use of reason can often be very close restrictions without which the progress of enlightenment it is particularly hampered. I intend to use the public's right to use that one makes as a scholar before the entire reading public. I call the private use of reason that a man is permitted to do so in a certain civil post or office which he è investito. Tuttavia costui non agisce contro il dovere di cittadino se, come studioso, manifesta apertamente his thoughts on the impropriety or even injustice of these charges .

The private use of reason

So a church is to teach the catechism to the students and his congregation by the creed of the Church because it depends this condition he was engaged, but as a scholar he has complete freedom and even their responsibility to communicate to the public all the thoughts that an examination suggested the severe and well-intentioned about the defects of that belief as well as its proposals for reform of religion and of the Church. In this there is no anything to the consciousness can be blamed. What he teaches as a result of his office, as an official of the Church, he will expose him as something around which does not have the freedom to teach according to his own ideas, but who has the task of teaching as directed and in the name another. He will say: Our church teaches this or that, and these are the tests to which it applies. All the practical usefulness that his congregation can come, then he will derive from the principles that he would not himself subscribe with full conviction, but whose teaching can still work so it is not impossible that they did not conceal any truth and in any case, at least, we find nothing in them that are contradictory to inner religion. If, however, believed to find something that contradicts, he can not exercise its function with conscience should resign. The Journal does a teacher use of his reason before his congregation, therefore, only private use, and this because that community, however large, is always just a home meeting, and in this respect he, as a priest, is not free, nor can it be, as complete an assignment that comes from others. Instead, as a scholar who speaks through his writings to the public as such, ie the world, so as ecclesiastical use of its public reason, he enjoys unlimited freedom to make use of his reason and speak in his own person. That the guardians of the people (in spiritual things) should themselves remain juvenile, is a 'nonsense that tends to perpetuate the nonsense.

limits of collective commitments

But a society of clergymen, such as an assembly or a venerable ecclesiastical "class" (as it calls itself at the Dutch), might have the right to be bound by oath to a certain immutable religious beliefs, to exercise in this way over each of its members, and through them, the people, protection continues, and even to make this eternal protection? I say that this is by no means impossible. Such a contract, aiming to take humanity away forever from any further progress in enlightenment, is irritated and in no way absolute, even if it were to lay down that the sovereign power, the Imperial Diets and the most solemn peace treaties. No time can collectively engage with an oath to put the next era in a state that will put it impossible to extend his knowledge (especially if much needed) break free from mistakes and progress in general enlightenment. Ciò sarebbe sì una cosa possibile, per così dire in attesa di una legge migliore e per un breve tempo determinato, al fine di introdurre un certo ordine, ma purché nel frattempo si lasci libero ogni cittadino, soprattutto l'uomo di Chiesa, di fare sui difetti dell'istituzione vigente le sue osservazioni pubblicamente, nella sua qualità di studioso, cioè mediante i suoi scritti; e ciò mentre l'ordinamento made it will still be in force until the new views in this area have not reached the public so that citizens and credit spread, with the union of their votes (though not all) are able to submit to a sovereign proposal to protect those communities that had agreed to a change for the better in the constitution according to their religious ideas, and without prejudice to those communities that you intend to stay in the ancient constitution. But to maintain focus, even if only for the duration of the life of a man, a religious immutable constitution that no one can publicly call into question, and thereby set aside as it were a chronological stage in humanity's journey verso il suo miglioramento e rendere questa fase sterile e per ciò stesso forse addirittura dannosa alla posterità, questo non è assolutamente lecito. Purché egli badi che ogni vero o presunto miglioramento does not conflict with the civil order, he can not leave it for the rest of his subjects are free to do what they believe necessary for the salvation of their souls. This does not concern him at all, but their respect is to ensure that the obstacles one by violence in the activity that the other man, with all the means that are within its power, exercised in view of its purposes and to meet their needs. The monarch went to his own detriment if majesty meddles in these matters, stating that the writings in which his subjects make it clear their ideas are subject to review by the government to do what he is calling his speech and autocratic exposed to the reproach that Caesar does not East grammaticos above, or, a fortiori, if he lowers his supreme power so as to support the spiritual despotism of some tyrant in his State against all his other subjects.

The Age of

If you now question: we currently live in an enlightened age? then the answer is no, but in an age of enlightenment. That the men caught in the current situation in mass are already able, or even may be in a position to rely on the proven and well their own understanding in matters of religion, without the guidance others, is a condition from which we are still far away. But to them, now, is still open the area to work towards this state to be emancipated, and that the barriers to the spread of general enlightenment or leaving the minority to themselves due to gradually decrease, instead of what we signs. In this regard, this age is the age of enlightenment or the century of Frederick. A prince who does not believe he considers beneath him to say his duty not to prescribe anything to men in matters of religion, but leave them in this freedom, and then rejected by her even the proud name of tolerance, is himself enlightened and deserves from the world and posterity grateful to be praised as the man who first liberated mankind from the minority, at least from the government's bread and left each free to make use of his own reason in all that is a matter of conscience. Under him venerable ecclesiastics, without prejudice to their official duty, they can freely and publicly, as scholars, submit to the world their opinions and their views here and there that I deviate from the traditional and the more anyone can do is limited by an official duty. This spirit of freedom extends to the outside world, even where it must struggle against external obstacles raised by a government which misunderstands itself. The government In fact, however, has before his eyes a shining example which shows that there is nothing the public peace and harmony of the community have to fear from freedom. Men adoprano itself to exit gradually from barbarism, provided they do not resort to artificial means to keep them in it. I place particularly in matters of religion the climax of enlightenment, that is, the output of men from a minority state which is due to themselves, about the arts and sciences, in fact, our rulers have no interest in exercise protection over their subjects. In addition, the minority in matters of religion of all forms of minority the most damaging and the most umiliante. We revealed here a strange unexpected course of human affairs, as indeed in other cases, to consider this course in great, almost everything in it seems paradoxical. A greater degree of civil freedom seems in favor of freedom of the spirit of the people, and hence raises its absolute limits, to a lesser degree of civil freedom, on the contrary, the spirit offers the space to grow with all his might. If, then, nature has developed under this hard shell the seed of which it takes the most tender care, the tendency to free thought and vocation, vocation, and this trend gradually reacts on how to feel the people (so that, gradually, it becomes increasingly capable of freedom of action), and ultimately even on the principles of government which finds that it is in their advantage to treat the man, who now has more than one machine, in a manner consistent with his dignity.

From I. Kant, Religion Within the Limits of Reason Alone, tr. com. Gaetano Durante, in id., Writings of philosophy of religion, c. Giuseppe Ricordi, Milan, Murcia, 1989, pp. 107-109)

Immanuel Kant (1724-1804)
Christ personified the idea moralitàLa only thing that can make a world the object of divine decree and the order of creation, humanity (the rational being in general the world) in all its moral perfection, which, as its supreme condition, happiness is the immediate consequence of the will of the Supreme Being. This man, who alone is pleasing to God, "he is in eternity": the idea of him stems from the very being of God, he is not, in this sense, a created thing, but its only begotten Son, "the Word (the Fiat!) for mezzo del quale tutte le altre cose esistono, e senza del quale nulla esisterebbe di ciò che è stato fatto» [Gv 1,1 ss.] (giacché in vista di lui, cioè dell'essere razionale nel mondo, come lo si può pensare in base alla sua destinazione morale, tutte le cose sono state fatte). «Egli è il riflesso della sua gloria» [Eb 1,3]. «In lui Dio ha amato il mondo» [lGv , 4,10] e solo in lui, e mediante l'adozione delle sue intenzioni noi possiamo sperare «di diventare figli di Dio» [Gv 1,12] ecc. Elevarci a questo ideale di perfezione morale, cioè al prototipo dell'intenzione morale in tutta la sua purezza è il dovere universale di noi uomini, e a ciò quest'idea stessa, given to us by reason as an objective to be achieved, we can give the necessary strength. Now, just because we are not the authors of this idea, but it took place without humans that we understand as human nature has simply been able to receive it, you can say better than that prototype is descended from the sky up to us, it took on humanity (for it is not possible to represent us as humans, bad for nature, can rid themselves of evil and rise up to the ideal of holiness, rather than assume that this ideal conception of humanity [the which is not bad in itself] and fall up to it). This union with us may therefore be regarded as a state of humiliation of the Son of God [cf. Phil 2:6 ff.] If we represent this man as a divine intentions from our model, which, although it is holy for its part, and, therefore, as such, is not to bear pain, however, accepts to suffer to the fullest extent to promote the good of the world as the man who is never free from blame, even when they also adopted this same intention, can be considered as earned by him that the pain by any means whatsoever, they can hit, and therefore must be deemed unworthy of the union of its intention with this idea, although it serves as a model. The ideal of humanity pleasing to God (and therefore the ideal of moral perfection that which it is possible to be dependent on the world's needs and inclinations), we can not conceive except by the idea of a man ready to not only fulfill all the duties and rights, together to spread around them, to the fullest extent, the well with his teaching and example, but also provided, although tempted by the greatest allurements, to endure all the pain, until the most ignominious death, for the good of the world, and also for the good of his enemies. Since man can not get an idea of the degree and intensity of the force that is pro. ere intention moral, if not as if he is struggling with the obstacles and triumph, Nevertheless, in the midst of the greatest assaults. In practical faith in the Son of God (as it is represented as having taken on human nature) man can hope to become acceptable to God (and thus also to enjoy the bliss), that is the man who is conscious that you have a moral that this is possible to believe in themselves and have a well-founded confidence to remain in the midst of temptations and sufferings like (which are the touchstone of that idea), invariably attached to the model of humanity and faithful to follow his example, and this man alone has the right to be regarded as an object not unworthy of divine complacency.

Warning Warning

The priest announced that the following Sunday in church Jesus would come in person. The people arrived en masse to see him. Everyone expected to preach, but he just smiled at the time of the presentations and said, "Hello." They were all willing to host him for the night, especially the priest, but he politely declined the invitation and said that he would spend the night in which all chiesa.Cosa approvarono.Egli went quietly in the morning early, before would be opened the doors of church., to the horror of all, the priest and the others found that the church had been subjected to acts of vandalism.

Everywhere on the walls was scrawled the word: WARNING.

Incisa in large and small letters, with pencil and pen and painted in all colors possibili.Dovunque posasse the eye, you could see the words:

" WARNING , attention, Attention , A t T and N z The or N and , attention, attention ......."

Scandaloso.Irritante.Sconcertante.Affascinante.Terrificante.A what had to be careful?

There was nothing written. Only CAUTION.

The people's first impulse was to cancel any tracciadi that filth, that's sacrilege, and they stayed only because they thought that it was Jesus himself to make such a gesture.

That mysterious word WARNING began to infiltrate people's minds whenever they went in chiesa.Essi began to pay attention to the scriptures, and so were able to take advantage of it without becoming bigotti.Fecero attention to the sacraments, so they were sanctified superstiziosi.Il without becoming a priest began to pay attention to the power he wielded over the faithful, so they could be of help without having to impose.

And all they focus on religion, which can transform the unwary into Hippocrates.

They became cautious in accepting the decrees of the church and so, while being faithful to the law, showed compassion for the weak.

began to pay attention to how they prayed, so did not lose more confidence in themselves and behaved in the same way even against the concept of God who, in order to be able to recognize it even outside the narrow confines of their church.

Now the people have placed the word so scandalous above the entrance of the church and in the evening it can be seen sparkle up there illuminated by multicolored neon lights.

not listen to people with a nasty habit of being negative ... rob the best hope of your heart!

Always remember the power they have heard or read the words.

So, anxious to be positive!

Always be deaf when someone says you can not achieve your dreams.

Science !!!!!!!!!!!

.. Here's a few jokes for those with a scientific mind a little ....

Typical joke for engineers, physicists, chemists and so on and so forth ... ..:

When the invitations were issued for the Grand Ball of Scientists,

Pierre and Marie Curie radiated enthusiasm;

Einstein thought it would be relatively easy to participate;

Volta felt excited;

amp was not made aware;

Ohm resisted the principle;

Boyle said it was too under pressure;

Edison thought it would be an enlightening experience;

Stephenson began to puff;

the Wright brothers were heard flying;

Dr. Jekyl declined, saying he was not himself lately;

Morse would have taken the line 2 and would arrive at 8 o'clock;

Franklin said that he would arrive in a flash;

Meucci would call to confirm;

Von Braun would come as a missile;

Fermi said it was a news atomic

's wife felt Coulomb charge;

Hertz heard on the crest of the wave;

Joule had to give up to work problems;

Nobel exploded with joy at the news;

Kelvin said he was able to participate;

Fourier apologized, saying he was very ill recently, she was very thin: it seemed a ghost;

Cantor refused, preferring the more compact sets;

Abel instead gladly accepted: yes was well in group ...

Avogadro was not warned, no one remembered her number;

Planck asked how much it cost;

Mendeleiev said that he did not stay at the table of elements concerts;

Heisenberg did not have enough determination to go;

PAM Dirac said that he hated these formalisms;

Carnot replied that he did neither hot nor cold

Hilbert said that he did not have enough space;

Banach had a pregnant wife, and had already had contractions;

Cauchy would come with the HF INTEGRALE;

According Menendelbrod there would be too chaos;

Laplace felt transformed by the news;

Foucault was in Milan, but would arrive in the evening with the pendulum;

Taylor had a series of commitments;

Henry had to study, and he would not be lead into temptation;

Schroedinger showed up with his cat;

Riemann was written the address on a piece of paper;

According to Poincare there was too much chaos

Mandelbroat infrattarsi left with the idea of some self-similar;

Kolmogorov did not spare much clothing, put something functional (Kirchhoff instead wore a nice shirt and had to tie the knot) ;

Faynman, before reaching its destination, he walked a lot along the way and was integrated together with the guys who played the bongos friendly: the stunt's acted a few minutes late, but hated the things stringent

And .... Dirac took his Lancia Delta. ... Cauchy that came before the great rush broke the differential of his car.
the party functions .................. ............ .
There were all the functions, but its all-dancing with each other very happy: the sine, cosine, hyperbolic tangent, the logarithm natuarale and short, etc.. etc. etc, etc. .........
Only one, the exponential, AND X, all was all alone on the one hand while drinking absinthe a little timidly approached annacquato.A this point quite a hyperbolic sine he said: "Hello dear AND X, but what are you doing here all alone slab without any company? "The exponential, that perhaps he could also have different sexual habits from her, he replied:" What should I do to not starmene alone in a corner? "
Well, you should enjoy , experienced a little, shall we say integrate ....!!!!!
Who, me? You tell me? ...... but so is the same for me!

Klonipin And Oxycodone

... A bit of arithmetic is not bad ... The genius of MC Escher

Definiamo ora un Numero Primo:un primo è un numero intero p , maggiore 1, which does not admit divisors other than itself and 1.
Now we state the following
Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic: Every integer N
greater than 1 can be decomposed uniquely into a product of primes.

leave aside for the moment the proof of this theorem, recalling how classic demonstration is due to Euclid, and is based on a method or algorithm to search for the greatest common divisor of two numbers, known as Algorithm Euclideo.Tale algorithm is based in turn on the following statement:
If a is an integer and b is another integer greater than 0, you can always find an integer q such that:

where r is an integer that satisfies inequality

So dividing a by b occurs as the remainder is re quotient q given by the theorem on the report.

The more general way to represent an integer z in the decimal system is to express the form:

is indicated by the symbol

You see now how the figures
are simply the remains of successive divisions to 10.Nel positional decimal system was chosen as the base number 10 .. The layman may not realize that the choice of ten is not essential, and that every integer greater than one might serve the purpose. You could, for example, use a BINARIO.Dal theoretical point of view, the positional system in base 2 is the one with the smaller base possibile.Le mere figures in this binary system are 0 or 1, each number is represented by another simboli.Le a number of the addition and multiplication tables consist simply in the rules: 1 +1 =
10:01 * 1 = 1.
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz (1646-1716), one of the greatest intellectuals of his time, was thrilled with the binary system. To quote Laplace
: "Leibnitz saw this in binary arithmetic the image della creazione.Egli immaginò che l’Unità rappresentasse Dio e lo zero il vuoto; e che l’Ente Supremo avesse tratto tutti gli esseri dal vuoto , precisamente come l’unità e lo zero esprimono tutti i numeri in questo sistema di numerazione.”

Handbook Sanisteam Bath

In questo post si propone un cenno alla vita e alle idee del grande artista e matematico olandese Maurits Cornelius Escher:si dà una presentazione tratta dal sito

that I suggest you go to see;
Secondly you have pictures, prints, drawings fruit of his great mathematical and artistic genius.

Maurits Cornelius Escher, Dutch artist and mathematician, who died in 1972, aged 73, was born in Leeuwarden in the Netherlands in 1898. At school, he confesses, was not very good at math: "In high school I was very weak in arithmetic and algebra because I had, and I still have great difficulty in the abstraction of numbers and letters. Later, when my imagination was drawn to the stereometria [solid geometry], things went a bit 'better, but at school I was never able to get good results in these subjects. But the path of our life can take strange place. "He writes, however, the great physicist and mathematician Roger Penrose, a friend of Escher:" I do not believe what you said about his ignorance Escher mathematics. Maybe he had good grades, or maybe not had a good relationship with the teachers. But a very clear and thorough knowledge of mathematics and geometry we had and how. On the other hand this is very evident in his drawings. " Maybe it's the usual problem: a school that does not lead students to love mathematics, to discover the bellezza.Dopo his studies in architecture, he made several trips to Italy where he met his future wife, Jetta Umiker, whom she married in 1924 and lived with her for 11 years in Rome until 1935. He then moved to Switzerland, then to Brussels and finally settled in Holland in the city of Baarn.Quand 'was still a teenager, remembered how her friend liked to arrange slices of cheese on his big slice of bread so to cover it completely, without gaps. Later he confessed: "The regular division of the plan has become a true" mania ", which have become accustomed, and that sometimes it's hard to get away." Another of his favorite games, a prelude to his drawings of strange connections, is to start from two arbitrary concepts, seemingly far apart in meaning, then attempting a logical link. For example, switch from the driver of the tram to the kitchen chair:

DRIVER OF THE TRAM
horse-tramway
ON RAILS
CROSSING THE CITY '
UNTIL LIMIT
edge of the woods
WOOD
SAWN BOARDS
to construct furniture
A kitchen chair

It is imperative to give the official website of the foundation or company that bears his name:

We recall finally, for anyone interested, as the most accurate analysis of his work is present in the fine book by Doris Shattschneider , Visions of Symmetry - The periodic drawings of MC Escher, WH Freeman, 1992,

Impressions of September: to Lord Baden Powell

I suggest a few steps, the most significant of our founder, Sir Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden Powell of Gilwell Lord, sometimes accompanied by my comments in brackets (comments written in a different color than the base ). Happy reading and reflection.

RELIGION AND HAPPINESS '
If you really want to take your road to success, that is, to happiness, you must not only avoid the deceptions of the anti-religious propaganda (Odifreddi Piergiorgio included, though its disclosure mathematical texts are really a well of humanistic culture also means, despite having edited the treatise on the mathematical proof of the existence of God written by Goedel's just a sort of deep hatred for us Catholics go to understand these minds!)
but you have to give a religious basis to your life.
is not simply a matter of going to church or know or understand the Bible Theology (we quote St. Augustine for all).
Many people are genuinely religious, almost without knowing it and without having studied this (.. still others come to conceive of forgiveness even though atheists).
In short, religion is this:
 • First, know who and what God is (well some antidemelliana statement as consistent with eastern philosophy, he argues that about God can be said solo cosa non sia;ad ogni modo nel contenuto più profondo credo che entrambi affermino la stessa cosa!)

To achieve the above two points and avoid atheism I suggest two things (here is a suggested program for life, in my view).

The first is the reading of that ancient and admirable book is the Bible, where you'll find, in addition to Divine Revelation, an extraordinarily interesting compendium of history, poetry and morals.

The second reading is another wonderful old book: that of nature, with the observation and study of all that you will find among the beauties and mysteries that it gives you and your joy . (well, personally I chose the beauty of the stars and the starry sky: exude a sense of humility that I can not explain ........ )

And finally reflect on how best to serve God as long as you can still have the life that He has given you.

GOD'S PLAN
There is a disease that is now extremely widespread, so much so that most of us is more or less affected: it is the disease di chi è troppo pieno di sè .
Siamo su questa terra solo for a short time to do our part, with other living creatures around us, in carrying forward the great designs of the Creator, which are so far beyond our comprehension.
From the preface to a textbook of science naturali.Circa 1925.
